Distance Reiki Agreement

For humans and pets · Valid for all future in-person sessions

1. Purpose of Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy technique that aims to support relaxation, emotional balance and general wellbeing. Reiki is considered a complementary practice and is not a replacement for medical, veterinary or psychological care.

2. Nature of Distance Reiki

Distance Reiki is carried out without physical contact. You may sit or lie down in a comfortable position during your session. Experiences vary: you may feel warmth, tingles, calmness, emotions releasing, or nothing at all — all responses are valid.

3. Reiki for Pets

Reiki for animals is a gentle, consent-based process. Animals may choose how close they wish to be to the energy. Sessions are conducted remotely unless otherwise stated. Reiki is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. If your pet is unwell or injured, you agree to seek appropriate veterinary care.

4. Future In-Person Sessions

This agreement also applies to any in-person Reiki sessions you may book in the future. In-person Reiki does not involve manipulation, massage, or diagnosis.

5. What Reiki Practitioners Do Not Do

  • Diagnose medical or veterinary conditions
  • Prescribe or advise on medication
  • Guarantee specific outcomes
  • Interfere with ongoing medical or veterinary treatment

6. Your Responsibilities

  • You will continue regular medical/veterinary care as needed.
  • You will provide truthful information about your wellbeing or your pet’s condition.
  • You understand that Reiki sessions are supportive and complementary.
  • You understand that results vary and may require multiple sessions.

7. Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is confidential and handled respectfully. The only exception is if there is a legal or safety concern requiring disclosure.

8. Payment & Cancellations

Payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice. Missed appointments or late cancellations may not be refundable.

9. Consent & Agreement

By booking a session, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this agreement.
  • You consent to receiving Reiki (or Reiki for your pet).
  • You understand Reiki is complementary and not a replacement for medical or veterinary care.
  • You are booking of your own free will.

By proceeding with your booking, you agree to the terms of this Distance Reiki Agreement.
